RESEARCHER IN WASHINGTON DC
Geoffrey Sinclair in Oz has asked me to post this:
I am looking for recommendations for people who can check archive files and/or do copying for me in Washington DC. My first request is not really research but copying files located at the USN history section in the Navy Yard to which I have all the file location etc. details, ideally creating PDFs and leaving a copy with the navy people. I want is a significant section of what is described as 1.5 linear feet of documents. If the first effort proves successful the plan is to expand it to archive searches. Please PM me or post on here is anyone can suggest or help |

Re: RESEARCHER IN WASHINGTON DC
I'd recommend trying Heather Steele: info@ww2historyproject.org
Heather visits NARA a number of times a year and is a hugely reliable individual who wil work at a decent lick. I've used her myself and she achieves good quality results using her portable scanning equipment. Also feel free to browse her website: https://www.ww2historyproject.org/research/ Last edited by Steve Coates; 13th November 2025 at 15:41. |

Chris
Thanks. I've just amended the contact e-mail as Heather prefers this for 'business use'. Geoffrey is more than welcome to contact me if he wants to ask any additional questions. No issues with you passing him my e-mail address. Steve |
