Can anyone provide information on the loss of Uffz. Anton Schwieger who was a pilot and was killed on the 24th July 1942?

Hello Rick,

GQM loss return 27 Jul 1942 item 49:
24.7.42 Erg.Jagdgr.Süd Hahnhofen, crash due to operator error, loss category 22 (= destroyed without enemy action on a non-operational flight), Bf 109 F-2 WNr. 8222, 90%.

The death card on fold3 (https://www.fold3.com/image/69948593...tion-1939-1948) gives the following details:
Unit: 2./Erg. Jagdgruppe Süd
Killed in a crash at 1753 hrs on 24 July 1942 near shooting range Hanhofen, between Hanhofen and Iggelheim.
