Hello everyone, I have some questions about Sonderstab ‘W’, Willberg 1936 in Spain, and more specifically about the delivery and combat operations of the German aircraft listed here.


Here, for the Willberg probe team, the date for the aircraft received is 1 October 1938.
And the OKH chose to use the code ‘Winterübung’ Hansa for sending equipment to the Willberg unit, which is why the abbreviation ‘wbg’ appears next to the word Hansa. The Kriegsmarine, or OKM Raeder, chose the code word ‘OTTO’ for sending weapons and ammunition to Spain.

I also know that the 20 Ju-52s sold to Franco flew to Italy to get to Spain, and then until October 1936, they continued to transfer equipment from Tetuan to Spain, equipment that Franco's men needed.

So for the moment, I am still searching the NARA archives for
Document T1022, which contained a wealth of information, but unfortunately does not reveal to me the deliveries of aircraft or engines with the code OTTO. It only lists handguns and cannons, but nothing about the delivery dates of the first German aircraft.

So my question to you is this: do you know how they transferred these aircraft, and in particular the models and numbers sent in 1936? The Navy's T1022 file (OTTO) begins on 29 September 1936.
I have also read that on 15 February 1937, two BF-109s shot down seven Rata aircraft, and that the 3.7 cm flak shot down one Curtiss.

So know you about delivery of this Airplane?

If I remember correctly, 'Winterübung Hansa' was the codeword for deliveries of aviation material and maybe some liaison flights between Germany and Spain.

The Kriegsmarine, or OKM Raeder, chose the code word ‘OTTO’ for sending weapons and ammunition to Spain.

Why do you think that aircraft were delivered by the Navy, which did not have any aviation assets?
