'Dachau Trials' Trials by U.S. Army Courts in Europe 1945 - 1948

Hi All,

during WWII about 200 flyers were murdered by civilians.

The trials took place in Dachau, former concentration camp.
Are the files online meanwhile?
I am looking for some trail files.
Thank you in advance
Rolf

(The) Dachau Trials are in Record Group 549 of NARA. You may start here, also by adding names in the search box. There should be more results than these initial ones.

See: https://catalog.archives.gov/search?...20Trials%22%20

I have read many of them over the years. Well detailed and sad stories. An interesting book to read is the Last Mission of the Wham Bam Boys. Captured, marched, and seemingly put to death, yet 2 had survived unbeknown to the people who captured them. The story tells the tale of how they were later recovered to tell their story.

This link about the Dachau trials has links to the court cases.

The book "The Scourge of the Swastika" mentions a few of these incidents.
One involves the crew of a RAF Fortress shot down by flak in March 1945. This could be according to the NCA HB802 of 214 Sqn downed on 14/15 March 1945. The NCA has it downed by Lt Karl-Ludwig Johanssen the BF to Hpt Martin Becker St/IV/NJG 6. Claims this night Becker 6 and Johanssen 3.
