*SHIPPING TO THE EU – NEW RULES AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As of 12 August 2026, new shipping rules came into force for all businesses worldwide that ship items to the European Union. Any business that sends items of any kind to the EU that requires packaging (in other words, every business, and every item) now needs a recycling licence for each EU country. As a result, I have applied for licences for some of the biggest EU countries that I deal with. This is a long and complicated process, and it isn’t free. I am still waiting for several licences to be issued, and unfortunately that means that for now, for the EU market I will be able to ship items to GERMANY AND THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ONLY once the books are delivered from the printer.

IN ADDITION I HAVE APPLIED FOR RECYCLING LICENCES FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES:

BELGIUM
AUSTRIA
FRANCE
NETHERLANDS
ITALY
NORWAY

These licences are all still pending. As soon as I have them I will update my shipping policies for the EU.
IN THE MEANTIME I AM OFFERING EU CUSTOMERS IN THE ABOVE LISTED COUNTRIES THE OPTION TO ‘EXPRESS AN INTEREST’. – Simply email me at chandosenquiries@gmail.com with the subject heading PLEASE RESERVE A BOOK, let me know your name and email address / contact details, and I can then set aside a copy of the book and let you know when I am able to ship it. Please note that I do not yet know when this will be, but hope to have the recycling licences I need by the end of this year (2026).
If you can’t wait that long, I am still dealing with my wholesalers in Europe and around the World – if you are an EU customer, I recommend dealing with the following wholesale shops:
France – Lela Presse
Germany – Berliner Zinnfiguren
Germany – Sound Beucher
I sincerely apologise – this ridiculous rule has affected thousands of small businesses Worldwide. Until the system is reviewed or overhauled, then I am limited to sending books to the above named EU countries only.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NEW SHIPPING / RECYCLING RULE DOES NOT AFFECT COUNTRIES IN EUROPE THAT ARE NOT PART OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, OR ANY OTHER COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE. IT APPLIES ONLY TO THE EU MEMBER STATES.

As usual we will be working with our Global distribution partners:

France – Lela Presse
Germany – Berliner Zinnfiguren
Germany – Sound Beucher
USA – RZM Imports
USA – Aberdeen Bookstore
Japan – Beavercorp
Australia – Specialty Books
UK – Bookworld Wholesale
UK – The Aviation Bookshop
UK – Aviation Book Centre
You can also find Chandos books in good hobby stores and independent bookstores Worldwide – just google Chandos Publications Ltd.

Question about Daniel Horvat's article - is it based on the "Verified Victories: Top JG 52 Aces Over Hungary 1944–45" or are there any new data or conclusions?

[HGabor]

Hi, this is Daniel using Gabor's account to respond.

To GoranA's question my article is mostly based on items one would find outside of our Verified Victories book. Plenty of interesting new data in there. For conclusions, I would invite those interested to pick up a copy You will be treated to not only my article, but articles from the fantastic crew Rich has pulled together.

All the best,
Daniel (using Gabor's account)
