Die Jadgfliegerverbande... Vol.8/1

As an early Christmas present, yesterday I received Dr. Prien's volume 8/1 of Die Jadgfliegerverbande....

Lots of new and interesting photos including some Experten machines not previously seen by me. This includes a new overall view of one of Marseille's a/c.

Save all that Christmas cash you get!

Prien et al., vol. 8

Is there any info or photo related to Eastern Europe and the Balkans?

Thanks,

As far as I can remember no there are not in 8/I.

Very nice addition to the series, looking forward already to the second part.

Period covered November '41 to December '42

JGs 1, 2,3,26 and 27 (or parts of those units) are covered.

More attention to a/c development and camouflage and markings than usual.

If it weren't for my personal unlucky copy that was damaged in the mail (btw Struve is disappointingly ignoring my E-mail on this subject, but I will send them a third one after Christmas and after that a fax) I'd be in Luftwaffe heaven.

I can imagine this series to be the benchmark when its completed, like similar Kriegmarine histories. Just imagine having to buy the whole series after they have been out of print. Better get a new loan by then!

Suggestion to John - why not try to set a standard here and name the thread after the publication that you review? Since edit is possible on this forum, you (or Op/Mod) should be able to rename it.
