Unit identification?
Hi Guys
Just received a Flugbuch of Karl Seefeldt. He only flew 33 flights from 02.07.44 to 09.07.44 at the Flugplatz Luxemburg/Sandweiler. They were training flights on the Fw 44. The identifying Stamp at the end of the flights is very smudged so I cannot see this very clearly Does anybody know the Unit(s) that were attached to this airfield during this period Thanks in advance Regards Tom Willis |

Re: Unit identification?
Hi Tom,
Sandweiler was a satellite airfield of Flugzeugführerschule A/B 43, Crailsheim, former A/B 124. In Sandweiler pilots exercised with gliders. Kind regards, Sven. |

Re: Unit identification?
Hi Sven
Thanks for quick response; it is possible that Seefeldt belonged to this Schule. Thanks for the pointer. Regards Tom Willis |

Re: Unit identification?
Hi Sven
I have just put a very large magnifier to the smudged stamp and can just make out A43. Thanks again for the pointer. These Fw44s I only have for 1940/41. Nice to know that they survived until mid/late 1944. Regards Tom Willis |
