Lt. Robert Fuller, 494FS, 48FG
Seeking info on Lt. Fuller. Understand he was shot down on 27 May 44 south of Couvin, Belgium. Need to know circumstances of his shootdown such as how he was shot down and if he was KIA, MIA, POW, or escaped capture. Also need to know MACR #, specific P-47 he was flying, et. al.
Thanks in advance. Cheers, Gary Koch |

Re: Lt. Robert Fuller, 494FS, 48FG
Hi Gary ,
Are you sure about the date off Lt Fullers crash ? In the USAAF Overseas Accidents reports May 1944 there is no sign of a crash of the 494 FS. Greetings Alain Belgium |

Quote:
For the losses in operation due to enemy fire, you can check the MACR database (Google that for the www) but it is not complete. A MACR is for a missing aircrew, so any aircraft shot down over friendly territory or water and where the crew was immediatly saved (or sometimes found dead) won't have a MACR. |
