In fact there were, and a few years ago, Jet & Prop had an article on the rollout of the restored a/c in Germany -- a Bf 110F/Trop as I recall.

Re: why no me 110s? found

Another Bf.110 coming from Russia was stored till some years ago at the AREA plant near Venegono (Varese, Italy). Now it should be owned by a private: see

Gary

There have been a few!

Bf110 C 3115 LN+ER = parts recovered.
Bf110 E-2 4502 M8+ZE remains stored in Berlin
Bf110 F-2 Trop 5052 LN+NR restored and on display in Berlin.
Bf110 G-2 5227 1B+HX Still looking in northern Russia
Bf110 E 5020 recovered - parts in Russia
Bf110 F 5050 LN+AR - parts in Russia
Bf110 G recovered from parts of lake in Austria

There was another C model recovered from the north - recon aircraft and another from the Black Sea - AREA

As for the Fw189. Jim Pearce is 78 years old or so and the financial backing is not there 100% to get the plane restored and kept. It has therefore reluctantly had to be put on the market along with the Bf109 and P39.

regards

MS
