German planes over Yugoslavia August 24 44
Hello,
does somebody know which German planes could operated over Rijeka (Fiume) and Zagreb Areas on August 24 1944? US bombers met there unidentified single-engine planes. Could it be JG 77 planes? Thanks for help Michal |

![]() yes, maybe some italian flown macchis 205, or g50 bis by german jg77,or moranes french,yes they were still used as back then,to intercept bombers as the americans might not have seen a morane,fighter as the luftwaffe used them as trainers, in france, vichy,then to other countrys, rumania hungry as there stocks were dewindling,with bf g6,s..ive read this in aircraft of aces, books, check them out, fab,

parts of II./JG 27 and I./JG 302 plus Fw 190A-8/R2's of II.Sturm/JG 300 and IV.Sturm/JG 3 and 109's from I./JG 300 providing a high protective force
