Re: 31 SQUADRON RAAF- VETERANS AND INFO?

Hi,

A couple of sources of information -

I have found a site which stores back copies of one of the ex servicemen's groups for the Beaufighter squadrons. Unfortunately the association has recently dispanded due to dwindling numbers. The newsletters are stored online at the site though and do have contact details with a number of veterans:

http://www.ozatwar.com/raaf/whisperer/newsletter.htm

In addition, there is a very good book on RAAF Beaufighter squadrons called Beaufighters over the Pacific by Neville Parnell

I contacted him via a lady Yvonne who is the daughter of one of the squadron members Donald Kirwood. Her email address was holty22 at (replace with appropriate character) optusnet.com.au
This was a while ago, so I'm not sure the email address is still current.

She was a member of the 30 Squadron association.

Best wishes with your research

Cheers

Michael

Re: 31 SQUADRON RAAF- VETERANS AND INFO?

The Attachment, if it is there, shows a list of 31 Squadron Air/Ground Crew who died as a result of flying battles, ground battles, wounds, prisoner of war etc. It does not contain losses through accident or illness

Kind regards
Ross
