Ltn Hellmut Bittkau/JG 51
Hi,
Got a letter send to Ltn Hellmut Bittkau on 7.4.1942. According to his Fpn he was at that moment active in Northeastern Europe as member of the 1 Staffel JG 51 (Lgpa Königsberg), probably at Szolzy. I've found some info that he had 11 kills. Does someone have some more info about this pilot? Flakman

In Dr. Prien's JFV series teil 9/I in the victories at has on 23Feb42 1./JG51 Lt. Helmut Bittkau Pe-2 at 10:15 (2) and on the 29Apr42 MiG-3 at 15:18 (3). I hope that helps some as I'm still waiting for 6/I and 9/II.
