Ostpreussen

Hi,

I'm looking here for history of my family...Few weeks ago I've found documents left by my mother, and become aware, my father was Luftwaffe pilot. My mother is from Poland, and from unknown reasons never told me my father, who died during WW2 was german soldier. Nevermind.
Now, I'm trying to find anything about him. What I know now, he was trasnportation pilot, who did flights from Ostrpreussen to Ostpommern in 1944 and was shot up somewhere there.
My question is: which Luftwaffe formation was operating transport flights in 1944?
And - does anybody have any copy of order for transportation task? That could help me...

Re: Ostpreussen

Since you are the son, contact the Bundesarchiv with your information. They should have his records.

Thank you for this link, I'll try to accomplish this. However - don't you know, which TB was operational in 1944 in Ostpreussen? Maybe you may recommend me a good book?

These two books provide an overall coverage of the various transport units during WW2 in the various theatres...
