Fw Gerd Wähler, 8/KG 77

Can anyone confirm the fate of this Beobachter who was with 8/KG 77 from 1940 until at least 17 Apr 41 and is said to have been killed later

Re: Fw Gerd Wähler, 8/KG 77

Is the Bf in this crew the same guy? A search of that name amongst the crews of the Ju 88 losses I have results in 2 hits for this last name, the first with III./KG 77 in Dec-40.

Ju 88A-4, 5524, Luddenbacher, Fw. Tomas, , 8., KG 77, , 3Z+GS, , , 10-Oct-41, MIA with crew, cause unknown., , Lfl.1/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #4)-Vol.6, , Ort unbekannt, 100%, F, Bo Fw. Bruno Gozrieck, Bf Fw. Gerhard Wähler & Bs Uffz. Walter Becksch, ,

Many thanks-I would guess it is the same man. What do you have for the Dec 40 mention?

Sorry no. My interest is he was part of the Sissimato crew taken POW 17 Apr 41; they did one mission that night but he felt unwell for the 2nd so did not go

Re: Fw Gerd Wähler, 8/KG 77

FYI - for clarity, these are the fields as defined in my database, comma separated, that that mishmash of data represent (and these can vary depending upon posting data straight from a table or a query-I'm too lazy to re-format) -

For the Ju 88(s) from table -

Flugzeuge, WNr., Plane Commander/Pilot, FF or vics (sorties), Staffel or Gruppe, KG, Nummer Farbe, Kennummer, Stammkennzeichen, Markings, Date, Remarks, Other Comments, Front, References, See Also, Locale, Bruch %, H/F, Crew, Time, Build Info

For the Do 17 - from query -
Date, Time, Flugzeuge, WNr., Plane Commander/Pilot, Staffel or Gruppe, KG, Kennummer, Stammkennzeichen, Remarks, Other Comments, Crew, Front, References, See Also, Locale, Bruch %, H/F
