Re: German Reports 6th June 1944

I'll have to look for that in the libraries here. The remark by Kirchoff is the sort of thing I am looking for. It adds to the USN & USAAF post battle evaluations of the effects on each target. When the time, place, unit, ect... of the eyewitness is accurately identified the description becomes very valuable.

The Wefer launchers were located behind the bluffs, a distance inland, so it is possible the shots passing over Kirchoff were fired after 06:30.

Thanks

Some, I keep a dictionary at hand & have these new fangled translation programs bookmarked. Its slow with the technical text for artillery. A ordinary laymans account is a bit faster. If you can direct me to reports from German soldiers it would be excellent.

I have time for some small parts in March. A few paragraphs to test my skill. Otherwise business is very demanding & will be so for another four to five weeks. Then I hope to have a short break.
