did Westland Lysanders ever take off (or land) from an aircraft carrier ?

Hi guys,

the question is in the title. I was wondering if Lizzies did ever take off from aircraft carrier, for special duty missions.

I doubt.. (performances)

Any counter example ?

Thanks & have a good day;

Have you got any area of operations in mind for this question? Are you thinking of operational flights over France or perhaps Africa. Perhaps the aircraft used was mistaken for a Lysander?

Thanks for your answer Larry

but no, I have no specific area of operation in mind, nor any picture or quote.

I was just wondering if such event could have happened...

but the lack of answer to this thread is self explanatory: I guess no Lizzie ever took off from any aircraft carrier.
