Hello all!
Where there any G-10s that used the Wilde Sau symbol? Also, Me109 G-14AS 'White 1' of 10./JG 300 that flew at Jüterbog-Waldlager in Autumn 1944, was that in fact a G-14/AS or a G-10? I believe this one had the red band and 'starburst' decoration. Fotos would be nice if any. Many thanks in advance. |

Re: Me109G-10's of JG 300
to the latter part of your question the Moskito-jagd had both G-6/As and G-14/AS before it was turned into II./NJG 11 via a simple paper transfer. No G-10's till much later - 1945. so to make it simple Weiße 1 was a G-14/AS, the 1 foto of this aircraft at the moment is in the Lorant/Goyat classic on JG 300.

Re: Me109G-10's of JG 300
Appreciate the information. I read somewhere.. or maybe seen a foto of Me 109G-10 'blau 4' may have had the Wilde Sau on the cowl. My memory is vague on this. Can somebody confirm?
EDIT: The fotos of blue 4 are fabrication, also, its a WNF bulit G-10. JG 300 afaik never used WNF machines. Last edited by Oberst; 2nd September 2012 at 17:18. |
