RLM 71/02 on early FW-190 on Channel Coast 1941/42

What is the latest information on the use of these upper colors on Fw-190A-1 thru A-3 with JG1 / JG2 / JG26 ?

I have read Merrick, Ullman, Rodeike, and Jagdwaffe V.4 S.1 ( Wadman & Pegg ) and have the color pic of Kurt Ebersberger at the tail of A-2 WNr. 20234 ( sure looks like 71 over 76 to me ).

It seems that the only concrete information is the Ebersberger pic. and the RAF Intel. Report on Faber's A-3 WNr. 5313.

I would note that all the quoted sources are NOT dogmatic on this and qualify their assumptions.

I "think" I recall either a post or E-mail a few years back from either David(s) Wadman or Brown that a wing panel existed confirming the greens ??

TIA

Pete Chalmers
