Re: brunnthal?

No, not Brunnthal.
Possibly Ju 88 G-1 714811 PW+BC lying there ?
- abandoned at Bad Aibling Airfield with collapsed right undercarriage
just a guess.

Re: brunnthal?

Hello,

Bad Aibling indeed.
We can see Me 262 white 7 on aerial shot.
On that last shot we can see, too, a very symetrical wing camouflage applied on one Fw 190.

Regards, Franck.

Re: brunnthal?

Gents,

Excellent pinpointing! Franck, you can even pinpoint Bf 109 K-4 "Weisse 81" of your attachment at the far left of Andrew A. Powell's picture, together with a Go 145 and a Fw 190 D-9 on the upper left corner. Brilliant! http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream

Thanks and cheers
Marc

Re: brunnthal?

Hello everyone. Superb photo Luftquest.

I believe that the long nosed Fw190 visible in the lower left (between the Bf110 and a radial-powered Fw190 with high-contrast upper wing camouflage) is the JV44 Fw190D-11 2+ Red, WNr. 220XXX. Note its distinctive lightly-colored spinner.

Re: brunnthal?

I should have studied the photo a little more. The 7 on the me262 is on the wrong side of the wing for it to be the one I was thinking of. Nice to have a ground and areal view.

thanks

Re: brunnthal?

The Me262A-1a white 7 is WNr. 111704 of JV44 as discussed here.

Kind regards
