Attack on Derby 29 Sep 40

Can anyone confirm the report of an attack at about 1530 hrs by a lone 1/KG 53 He 111 commanded by Oblt Dietrich Von Buttlar?

16.17 - He 111 A1+FH Besatzung Olt. von Buttlar Ziel Derby (Rolls-Royce Motorenwerke) Ziel im Tiefflug angeflogen und die 1000 kg Bombe aus 600 m Hoehe in den Suedostteil des Werkes geworfen.

our church that day was bombed, well 2 shop building next to it were hit .
,around at night,29/9/40.i beleive bigger towns too were hit by us.
the damage his still there on the church walls shapnel dents,

Interesting but the attack would have taken place mid-afternoon

This was a daylight attack with RR as the target so cannot agree with what you are suggesting
