Early Bf 109 production

I just came across the enclosed document with some details of licence
production of Bf 109B-1 and C-1 at Erla. When checking the W.Nos.
in the telegram against W.Nos. in published sources, I found that there
were some differences. The published sourcrs give the Erla production
of Bf 109B-1 starting with W.No. 301. In the enclosed telegram this is
stated to be W.No. 284. Can someone help to clear this.

Re: Early Bf 109 production

I don't know your sources but in newer publications like the JFV-books from Prien the Erla licence started wih W.Nr.284 too.

Re: Early Bf 109 production

Thanks Rasmussen ! I used the book by Hannu Valtonen, which is also the
only Bf 109-book I have. This fighter is normally way out of line for me.
