Claim by 412 Sqn of Bf109 25 March 1945
S/Ldr. M D Boyd 412 Sqn shot down one of three Bf109s by the squadron on 25 March 1945. Can anyone please identify the pilot and aircraft claimed by him and perhaps the ID of the other two Messerschmidts?

I'm sure that vol. 3 of the Shores Thomas book "Second Tactical Air Force" will have the answer but a quick check of what information I have says that JG 27 lost five aircraft in combat with Tempests that day, claiming two in return.

Thanks Nick,
S/Ldr. Boyd was flying Spitfire IX PV202, the restored Spitfire Trainer now owned by HFL. It was used as a trainer by the Irish Air Corps in the 1950/60's hence my interest. I am looking forward to the 2nd TAF volume. Many thanks Tony K
