Hi
Can anyone give me more info on the following aircraft losses: 28/04/1943 - Aircraft "M" - Crashed into Island (Furious) on landing and fell o/board on stb. side. Pilot S/Lt Nichols 14/01/1944 - Aircraft NE 866 - Crashed over port side on landing (Vindex). Pliot S/Lt Chandler 26/02/1944 - Aircraft LS 393 - Crashed into sea 15 mins after takeoff. Contaminated fuel - Pilot S/Lt Chandler Would there be formal documented air accident reviews of these losses? Thx in advance Stringbag |

Re: Swordfish losses - 825 Sqdn FAA
Stringbag,
Your S/Lt Chandler was S/Lt EW Powell-Chandler, though I guess you may have abbreviated. I would not hold out much hope of finding any crash reports, as it seems the FAA treated aircraft as stores, to be thrown overboard if necessary, and I know that the late Ray Sturtivant did an incredible amount of searching to get his book on FAA aircraft as accurate as possible.
