CAPTAIN JOE BOGART
Can anyone tell me more about the wartime career of this pilot? He apparently flew P-40s with the Chinese American Composite Wg, flew C-47s but was on the Rohna troopship when sunk in the Mediterranean in November 1943?

Chris,
Thru books.google you can find the title "Where I Came In" by Robert James Kadel. In it is a little bio on Joseph J. Bogart. He retired from the USAF in 1965 and yes, he was on HMT Rohna, landed in Algeria, found his way east and he flew P-40s and C-47s (27th TCS) in China. Regards, Leendert
