Defence Mission against RAF in the night from 15th to 16th of March 44

Hi All,
Searching for the details of German defence against the RAF in the night of March 15th to 16th.
In that Night the RAF attacked Stuttgart with more than 800 bombers.
Does anybody know the details of the German defence?
Which Luftwaffe units were sent against the bombers? How many night fighters were involved?
Is there a good book you can recommend?

Thanks in advance

Rolf

Suggest you look at the Nachtjagd War Diaries Volume 1 which has four pages on the night in some detail

Good evening Rolf !

There is a book "Stuttgart im Luftkrieg 1939 - 1945" by Hans Bardua.
ISBN 3-608-91424-2, which details the airwar over Stuttgart this night quite well.

Your raid in particular is described from pages #90 to #96.

Best wishes !
