Family name of Bf on Do 24T WNr 78
Hi.
Have anyone got the Namentliche Verlustemeldung for the crew of Do 24T WNr 78, for it's mishap on December 23rd 1943 while serving with 7. Seenotstaffel in the Med? I have a hard time reading the family name of the Bordfunker, Fw. Günhter Ko??nik. I have entered the name as Kommnik, but it is very hard to decipher it as it seems the typist have rewritten the name for this crewmember when the report was made. All assistance appreciated, Andreas

Do 24T WNr 87! Not 78
Hi.
Should have updated this myself. Found the Namentliche Verlustemeldung and got the correct name. Also, the NVM states that the aircraft was WNr 87, not 78, which makes sense, since WNr 78 can be traced in service with 5. Seenotstaffel until it was lost by this unit. Regards, Andreas
