Has anybody anything on Sonderkommando 4. JD.? Must have existed around oCtober 1943.

In my list of 27 Sonderkommandos, there is none by this name. Could it be an a.k.a. for Jafü 4 that might have been in unofficial use for a month or two?

Formation. (Sep 43)
Formed 15 September 1943 at Metz/France (ex-Stab/3. Jagddivision). Controlled day and night fighter defenses over eastern France, Belgium and along the eastern part of the Channel coast under XII. Fliegerkorps to 15 October 1943, then under I. Jagdkorps through May 1944 and then II. Jagdkorps. The Division subordinated Jagdfliegerführer 4 as well as Ln.-Regiment 204, 214, 224 and 234, these providing radar coverage and other communications within its territory.

Eastern France and Belgium. (Sep 43 - Nov 44)
1 Sep 44: Stab evacuated Metz on or about this date as U.S. forces approached and withdrew to Darmstadt-Griesheim.
8 Sep 44: Stab ordered disbanded.
Nov 44: all or elements of the Stab at Altenburg/45 km S of Leipzig in Thuringia, in the final stages of disbanding.
