Werner Baake
Hello
I am trying to work out what exact aircraft Werner Baake flew in on the night of the 3/4 November 1943. I know it was a bf110 and found a code of G9+ML and he was with 3 staffell/NJG 1. Would this be his aircraft on this date? Thanks Graeme

Hello Graeme,
Unfortunately there is no 'Einsatzbefehl' nor flight log book (not of Baake, Waldbauer or Schaffer) in which I could check the call sign of Baake's aircraft this particular night. Even if we did know the call sign the previous night, it still could be that Baake took off a next night in another Bf110 with a different call sign. At least there is a very reasonable chance (but no guarantee) that the call sign of Baake's Bf110 was G9+..L so that is all I can answer... Best regards, Marcel Hogenhuis
