Fairey Stooge flying bomb project
Hi guys
I understand that Fairey Aviation was developing a flying bomb for use against the Japanese. It was given the name Stooge. Presumably it was to be air-launched. If so, by what aircraft type? How was it to be powered? Any info will be very much appreciated. Thanks Brian |

Brian:
While I acknowledge the danger of using the Internet as a source, this website suggests the Fairey Stooge concept related to a ship-mounted surface to air missile intended to counter the Kamikazes: http://www.freewebs.com/faireyaviati...ftmissiles.htm If nothing else, quite an interesting site!
