Sgt Allan Perry, RAF Regiment, last surviving founding member

We have received the very sad news that the last surviving founding member of the RAF Regiment Allan Perry passed away today.
Allan Perry joined as a Ground Gunner on 28th August 1941 and then the RAF Regiment (Founding Member) in 1942.
After training Allan sailed from Liverpool and joined 2908 Sqn situated between Alexandria and Cairo in Egypt.
During his service Allan served in Palestine, Trans Jordan, Syria, Turkish border, Italy, Greece and Austria. Allan was demobbed on 31st December 1946 in the rank of Acting Sergeant.
