NF + ?? Ar 196 A3 aircraft code

I was reading the January '43 Flight Diary for 1/196 and there were mentions of aircraft transferred from Travemunde with the Codes NF+TL, TO, TN, TT and TY. The Codes list doesn't show anything for the code NF. Can anyone provide insight as to what unit this was?

There was also an aircraft Kiel with the code DH+NI. Again, what unit is this?

Thank you,
Mike

NF+TA to Z is a whole range of Ar 196 A-3.

Re: NF + ?? Ar 196 A3 aircraft code

the NF codes shown are from Ar196 and these are Stammkennzeichen, not unit codes.
The same for DH+NI that was an Ju88.
The Flight Diary is this an book or an document from BA-MA ?
Regards Peter

Thank you for the information. The Flight Diaries (Flugstagebuch) are documents available online from the United States National Archieves.

Best, Mike

Thanks. I wondered if it might be something other than the unit KTB.

Thinking a little further about this, the KTB starts in Sept 1943, so I'd be interested to know the exact source.

Mike - Could you please post up the relevant reference.

That would be RM 118/228 (or PG 80301 on T1022 Roll 3361).
KTB 1./196 Wilhelmshaven, January and February 1943.
