Me109 K-4 330167 - any info on the aircraft and airfield?

Hey guys,

Recently came across a photo of an Me109K-4, W.Nr. 330167.

In the background is a Fw190 D9 (xx+xA) (can only make out the "A" on the tail...plus another Fw190 (unknown type)

He177 V34

and...an unusual Ju88P that has a single square window in the nose (similar to an Me410).

I have never seen this image before.

Caption states photos were taken at a Baltic airfield in 1945...

I am thinking Tarnewitz or Travemünde...

My understanding is the the last known info on He177 V34 is from 1943, and fate is essentially, "unknown"...

Anyone have further info on these aircraft or airfield?

TIA

Mike

Mike,

He 177 V34 was found at Tarnewitz, Source is Air Technical Intelligence Report B-142.

The "D-9" could be Fw 190 V65, 350167 "CS+IA".

According to B-142, no Bf 109 was found there; but at least Noro Hideki's book "LO+ST" has photo of a K-4 "white 14" captioned with Tarnewitz...

Thanks Alexander!

This K4 has what appears to be hand painted "10..." before the Rumpfband cuts it off.

Yup...it is CS+IA (I could make out the "I" earlier, but was not 100% sure.

Do you have a pic of White 14?

Mik

Messerschmitt Bf 109K Camouflage & Marking by T Poruba and K Mol (JaPo, 2000) lists W.Nr. 330167 as '12.10.44 / ferry flight / DLH Staaken'.

Yep, it's confirmed that it was at Rechlin in late '44. According to the weekly summary reports:

Cannot think of any other number this could be...

335167?

I am wondering if the 1944 report on 330167 was just simply the last recording of it...and then it was transferred in 1945 to this airfield?

Indeed, it only confirms that it was at Rechlin in late '44. Sadly, no trace after that (besides that photo, that is ).
