He 162 W.Nr.120076 will perhaps fly again in Great-Britain...
Aero-vintage had exchanged one of its airplanes to Ottawa Museum versus one motor and the He 162 120076 yellow4... And it seems the new owner want to make it airworthy again...

Re: He 162 W.Nr.120076 will perhaps fly again in Great-Britain...
I very much doubt that the British CAA will permit this aircraft to fly. The type is intrinsically dangerous because of inertia coupling, let alone any residual doubts about the standard of construction. Given the CAA's refusal of a permit for the Lightning, I see not the slightest chance of the Heinkel being cleared.

I only hope that the a/c won't be cleared to fly! Because if it is, I fear that someone with lots of general time, but little on the He 162, crashes it and wipes it out. Much as with the 109G a short while ago. OK, well the 109G wasn't a write-off, but under the same conditions the 162 could well be, along with its pilot.
