Junkers Ju 88 V13 and V14 reconnaisance operations?

Gruppe,

I am looking for information on the Ju 88 V13 and V14. As far as I know these were the first prototypes for the reconnaisance version of the Ju 88 D and were essentially Ju 88A's bombers with camera installations.

Does anyone have more information regarding these machines and when they were made available for operations with 3.(F) Ob.d.L.

[Note: Number in unknown Ju 88 A-1 range: not <A5> 0806 or <A1> 8086 ~ Poss. <A1> 8006 or <A1> 880006; this author favours the last due to it being with an Recce testing unit - Possibly same as ´Ju 88 CE+YS Ábsturz´ <three crew killed, destroyed> in 06/41]

any more comments welcome,

Re: Junkers Ju 88 V13 and V14 reconnaisance operations?

Ed,

Thanks very much for the information.

As far as I know 2.(F)/Ob.d.L. was not stationed at Fritzlar but at Oranienburg. 1.(F)/Ob.d.L. and 3.(F)/Ob.d.L. were stationed at Fritzlar.
Furthermore Siegfried Knemeyer (the subject of my investigations) has stated that he brought the V13 or the V14 to Fritlzar. He flew operations with 3.(F)/Ob.d.L. from Fritzlar.

Looks like the information from the KG 200 book regarding the delivery of the V13 and V14 to 2.(F)/Ob.d.L. is not correct.

Ed,

Sorry nothing more in detail: no numbers, codes or dates.

Just that these two aircraft were delivered to Fritzlar and possibly used on operations over France and the English Channel.
