David Franklin Livingstone, RNZAF 112 Sqn?

Hi,

A question for the 112 Squadron experts.

According to the site of New Zealand Fighter. Pilots Museum (http://www.nzfpm.co.nz/default.asp) P/O David Franklin Livingstone of the RNZAF was serving in 112 Squadron early 1943. During this period he destroyed a Ju 87 (March) and damaged others.

Can anyone confirm if D.F. Livingstone served in 112 Squadron and if he made any claims? The service in 112 Sqn is not mentioned in books like Aces High or By Such Deeds – Honours and Awards in the RNZAF 1923-1999. The 112 Sqn-site ( http://www.geocities.com/raf_112_sqdn/ ) only includes Thomas (Tom) Livingstone of the RAFVR.

Thanks in advance
Peter

Peter,

DF Livingstone shared a Ju-88 in 1942 while with 154 Sqn. His remaining claims are in 1944 while with 111 Sqn.

Frank.

Frank,

Thanks Frank, as no other source Mentions D.F. Livingstone's service in 112 Sqn it seems he is mistaken for Thomas Livingstone.

Peter,

There is only P/O T. Livingstone, 61167 mentioned as member of the 112 Sqn in the Shark Squadron by Brown.

Regards,
Michal

Michael,

Thank you for the answer. This confirms what I suspected.
