Re: Photos + 6-11-05

Hi,

the first and third photos of Bf109`s group show probably a/c of 6/JG52 in Belgium. The fourth shows a/c of Olt.Hans Philipp from 4/JG54 in Russia. The photo no.8 shows G-6 from 3/JG77 yellow 1 (note the small dimension of tactical number) on Sicilly and the 9 shows ruder of Heinz Baer a/c from stI/JG77.

Regards

Robert

Gruppe,

The entry Post-war?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=6538922682
shows a Fokker S-14 Mach trainer. Indeed a Post-war development. The worlds first dedicated jet training aircraft. Some 20 were built and operated by the RNethAF.

The Prototype, PH-XIV, c/n 6289 built in 1951 (S.14.1) is (unfortunately) stored at the Aviodrome museum in Lelystad, Holland. The L-11 is on display at the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum in Soesterberg, Holland.

If you don't mind, what program/programs did you use to enhance the photos?

Thanks,

Thank you everyone. The printing of the negatives was especially interesting.

Re: Photos + 6-11-05

Ed deserves the thanks for finding this stuff!

I used Photoshop Elements 3 for Mac (also available for Windows/PC).

Can anyone ID the unit and unit code on the flying a/c in the second pic.? These are a 1 Gruppe 2 staffel a/c. White spinners and red aircraft letter.

In the first pic same quaestion about unit and code. Interesting the staffel letter "L" looks yellow, rather than the aircraft letter.
