9K+GN lost 25/07/40

Can anyone please confirm the crew details of 9K+GN lost on the 25th of July 1940 near Stroud. BoB then and now and Blitz then and now seem to be at odds over the names.

Any further information about the crew would also be very useful.

Cheers,

Del.

Re: 9K+GN lost 25/07/40

The only discrepancy I find between the names as quoted in BoBT&N and Blitz Vol.1 is in respect of Uffz THEINER who was incorrectly recorded as HEINE by RAF Intelligence at the time (A.I.1.(k) Report No.209/1940) and on RAF Form 1755 recording his burial in Brimscombe Rural District Cemetery (Grave No.48 Section 4) on July 29, 1940. This was subsequently corrected to read THEINER.

The crew was as follows: FF Uffz Friedel DŐRNER, BO Uffz Wilhelm HŰGELSCHÄFER, BF Gefr Gottfried TREUE, and BS Uffz Walter THEINER.
