Re: Dornier 217 E4 Kettering

The great nephew of the Pilot has been in contact with me about his great uncle's aircraft. I have been sent a copy of the death card and hopefully he will visit us soon to look over the remains.

I will be sending him a few pieces in the post

to just bump this thread, does anyone have any further information or any photographs they could share please

regards

philip

Hello Philip,

I have a copy of F/O Black's combat report, page from No.485 Sqd ORB detailing this loss + wartime local paper reporting the burial of the German crew. If you go to our website; www.aircrewremembrancesociety.com go to Luftwaffe 1942 losses and open up Beyerer you will find some pics & details there. Can you possibly contact me at my e-mail address; jager2uk@btinternet.com we can discuss things further if you are interested?

Regards

Melvin.

Hi Melvin

thanks for that link. Did spot it a while back when i started on this research. the only thing is it would not print out very well, clipped off the right edges.

I will send you an email.
