Brewery Wagon

What was the subsequent fate of this B-24D captured (and probably flown) by the Romanians after "Tidal Wave"?
Was it handed over to the Luftwaffe?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Hi Chris,

The B-24 D " Brewery Wagon" was to damaged to be made airworthy again.
It was dismantled and some parts were used as spare parts for " Boiler Maker II" the only B-24 D in romanian colors.
Attached are picture with mechanics dismantling Brewery Wagon and picture with Boiler Maker (pink color) under repair with the right rudder green color ( nr 36) taken from Brewery Wagon.

Cheers
Dan.

Re: Brewery Wagon

Thanks a lot Dan.
I had been mislead by the tail number "36".
Please, check your mini-messages.
