Research on Georg-Hermann Greiner's second victory on Oct. 6, 1942

Hi all,

I'm researching my family history regarding my uncle, Brian King, who served in the RAF. He and his crew were shot down on the evening of October 6, 1942 over the North Sea by the Night Fighter Georg-Hermann Greiner who was serving with 11./NJG 1. I'm wondering if anyone has further information to give me a better idea of what happened so that I could include it in my family history. Many thanks!

This was Georg's 2nd victory, which he claimed at 23.24 hours on 6/10/42, and his Gruppe's first recorded victory.(IV./NJG 1, previously designated II./NJG 2).

It was shot down into the Waddensea some 25 kilometres west of Harlingen from a height of 2,500 metres.

I visited Georg about 10 weeks ago. Unfortunately with the passing of time, and the fact he shot down over 50 bombers his memory of events has clouded with time.
