III./KG4 & III./KG30 in the Battle Of Britain.

Can anyone point myself in the right direction to research the specific raids information concerning the involvement of III./KG4 & III./KG30 during the Battle Of Britain and the immediate period after.

I have gleaned some information from the excellent pair of books 'Bomber Units of the Luftwaffe 1933-1945: A Reference Source - Henry L. de Zeng IV & Douglas G. Stankey' however, specific raid information over this period is somewhat sketchy.

Any help will be very well received indeed.

Don't forget that III/KG 4 did not become III/KG 30 until the start of Oct 40. There is limited info in Gundelach's book on KG 4 and failing that, you can link ops to losses via BofB T&T & Blitz T&N. I have some info on ops flown by 8/KG 4 (then 8/KG 30) but only until III Gruppe moved south in 1941.

Thank you for the reply.

Although I have several of the 'After The Battle - Then and Now' books, I do not have the Battle of Britain or the Blitz volumes in my collection.

Seeing as I am only after the information to flesh out the backgroound information for a set of documents for a beobachter who served in the said units in this period, I will hope on the input from the enthusiasts posting on these boards.

Still hopeful in anticipation.
