Re: Losses Ju88

There is an Allied report of Ju88A-4 of 3/KG54 in the sea off Avranches, Normandy at 0045 hrs on 3rd. Aug. At 0100hrs two crewmen from Ju88S-3 of 2/KG30 baled out 4km. WNW of Villedieu-les-Pooles and were taken prisoner, their aircraft is believed to have made it to German lines.

Archéavion: do you have a location or a unit for the loss you are looking for?

Regards,
Rudi.

Re: Losses Ju88

Nothing for KG 6; KG 54 lost 2 attacking troops at Avranches and in the sea in the Seine Bay; I have a 3/KG 30 ac lost attacking troops at Caumont 2 Aug 44 and another one doing the same near St Lo 3 Aug. I have 2 from 6/KG 30 lost 3 Aug 44; 3/LG 1 2 Aug 44 15 km south of Caen & another from 1/KG 30 near Caumont.

Bottom line is you will need to be more precise or at least give us something to work on

Re: Losses Ju88

Hello,

The aircraft fell August 3, 1944 to Roger Beaumont. One killed and two wounded.
(Perhaps a Ju88? The aircraft had ammunition 7.9mm)

Thank you for your help.
