27 Sept 1944 Spitfires action

Hi all

I am looking for any info on Spitfire units action over
Arnheim and Nijmegen against Bf 109s (of I./JG 76) on September 27, 1944.
Germans claimed five (5) Spitfires shot down over area
Emmerich and Apeldorn.
As well five planes Bf 109 were shot down.

Can anyone post here claims of spitfire pilots for that day, losses of Spitfires on 27.9.1944 ?
If there is more known on this combat, I would appreciate to read it/know it.
Thanks a lot

Peter,

Would you happen to know the times for the engagements?

Re: 27 Sept 1944 Spitfires action

Going from combat reports that I have 412 Squadron claimed a bunch between 1126-1345 in and around Arnhem and Nigmegen. 416 Squadron, claimed a number, 1131-1336 near Emmerich, but I am not sure if this fits in with your query.

Thanks Stephen and Karl,

I think it fits..so JG 76 met in the air units you mentioned...
443 Sqn is the hottest candidate claiming 5 Bf 109. Did they lose some as well?
Any details would be helpful as my sources on 2.TAF are limited (at the moment).

regards
