German losses at Bretigny on 16 October 1943

Hello,

On 16 October 1943, 609 Squadron attacked Bretigny airfield shortly after 16:00.
Two Ju 88s and one Me 210 were claimed.
According to British sources the Ju 88s apparently were from IV/KG 6 (which operated from the airfield).
Can anyone verify this and is there any clues to the Me 210 (or 410)?

Best wishes/Håkan

Hej Håkan

The book Wir flogen gen Westen vol 2 by Jan Horn lists all losses by IV./KG 6 and he confirms at least two of the three JU 88 losses that day to 609 Sq.

Cheers
Stig

I have Detal & Smith claiming a Me 410, Baldwin & Thornton Brown at Ju 88 and Thornton Brown and Smith a Ju 88- I have matches for the Ju 88s but not for the 410
