Holzkirchen Fighter School today
Hi,
Not long ago I happened to travel through Holzkirchen on my way to Munich. I did not have the chance to ask the locals, so I post my question here: does anybody know whether there's anything left of the WWII airfield and fighter school? Thanks FVW |

Re: Holzkirchen Fighter School today
Yes, it might be the one you're referring to - Although I am not sure since it was my first visit to the place. A friend of mine was taught to fly 109's there back in 1944.

Re: Holzkirchen Fighter School today
Don't bother to phone. I do speak German and I will do it myself. Not immediately, though, since it's not urgent.
Thanks very much, FFW P.S.: by the way, I've just found the airfield's website: http://www.fliegerclub-warngau.de/ Last edited by Franz von Werra; 27th August 2005 at 11:37. |
