Me 410 in KG40

I found this very brief reference online (http://www.9thflottilla.de/9kg40.htm) to Me 410's being used in KG40.

"Kampfgeschwader 40
II. Gruppe: 4./KG40
In late 5.43 began conversion to Me 410 destroyers. In 6.43 redesignated V./KG2"

I can't find any more info on their operational history in this unit. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I can't recall my other reading on KG 40 mentioning it.

One Me 410 lost due enemy action

If memory serves V./KG2 then formed the key cadre of II./KG51, known for their night intruder missions over the UK early in 1944.

Unfortunately, there is no published history of KG 40 but if you are interested in Me 410 ops, suggest you look at Balke's history of KG 2 and yes, V/KG 2 did become II/KG 51
