III/KG 26 Aircrew

Can anyone find any mention of a Fw Schuitzlein and Fw Krause being lost with III/KG 26 post mid-1941. Both flew with the Gr Kdr but I can find no fate, christian names or awards?

Re: III/KG 26 Aircrew

Hi,

for my part it is a incorrect spelling with the name Schuitzlein , in old german writing the n is like a u
and then the name make a "german sense"

so can it be it is Schnitzlein ?

Re: III/KG 26 Aircrew

I found 3 Krause's, one in late 1940. These are the other 2:

19-Jan-41, , He 111H-5, 3602, Lindhorst, Uffz. Karl, , 9., KG 26, gelbeF, 1H+FT, , KIA with crew, cause unknown., B Fw. Hermann Radtke, Bf Gefr. Erwin Krause, Bm Gefr. Paul Karzel & 2.Bm Gefr. Werner Enslin, , Lfl.3/Kanal, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.4, (Southampton), 100%, F

26-Jan-42, , He 111H-5, 3874, Simon, Ltn. Horst, , 6., KG 26, , , BC+GX, Killed in crash due to accidently striking the ground. Bf & Bm also killed, B injured., B Ogefr. Johann Krause, Bf Ogefr. Walter Herrmann & Bm Ogefr. Willi Bormann, , Ob.Bhf.Süd/Mittelmeer, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #4)-Vol.7, bei Fl.Pl. Iraklion, 100%, F

Do you have any other info for the other guy so I can narrow down the search?

Re: III/KG 26 Aircrew

Not necessarily, though the code would be '1H', not 'IH'. I would be interested in your source for the code. Jim P.

Re: III/KG 26 Aircrew

Thanks gentlemen but I do not think this is the Krause I am interested in and as to Schutzlein or whatever, he still remains a mystery!

Re: III/KG 26 Aircrew

Hi Gentlemen,

I think the name Schutzlein or Schuitzlein could be right Schätzlein. Only an idea by writing Sütterlin.

Regards
Claudia
