Looking for information behind this crashed He111 from II/KG53

Does someone know the history behind this crashed He111 from II/KG53?
I would say the props are yellow, which would make it the 6th Staffel, but could also be white an then being a he111 from 4th Staffel.

It has wooden props which would make it an He111 H-6 or later version I believe.

Can the Condor used in this Abzeichen be linked to 4th of 6th Staffel?

Kind regards, Thomas

Re: Looking for information behind this crashed He111 from II/KG53

Hi, Thomas...

As I understand it, the 'Legion Condor' emblem shown in this machine is indicative of II.Gruppe, KG53, as the bar underneath the diving eagle was red in colour, this being II.Gruppe's identification colour. I agree with you that the spinners are very likely yellow, so this machine is most likely from 6.Staffel.

Kindest regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply.

I know of two different Abzeichen for the II/KG53. The "diving eagle" is a Condor and is different on the two Abzeichen. I don't know of these different Abzeichen can be connected to a certain Staffel.

Kind regards, Thomas
