a/c accidents
One often reads that the Me109 was notorious for landing and take off accidents (usual number given for written off is 1500).
Does anyone have numbers for other major fighter a/c written off in landing and take off accidents? |

High engine-power, a nearly to big propeller- all this on a small landing gear. The tendency to break off while starting, by beginning a dangerous weakness of the draft, could never be entirely resolved. The torque of the motor produces two main effects, the greater is on the longitudinal axis and must be compensated with the ailerons, a weaker, but just on the ground very noticeable effect on the vertical axis and must be compensated with the rudder.
