Me 410 experten

Does anyone know how many german pilots made experten by scoring 5 or more victories flying the Me 410? i believe Eduard Tratt is the top scorer with 8 or 9. I have seen the Zestroyer page on www.luftwaffe.cz but it looks like all the ones who there are bios of were flying 110s. can anyone help me/ i realize there may not be that many since most of their aircombat was in the west or med in daylight during the 1943-44 period where they were up against high odds and were outclassed badly by Allied fighters.

I may say, NONE of ZG 76 while using Me 410. There were guys with three claims most such as Bischoff, Ibold, Ahrens (including some ASM).

As for ZG 26 and other units, I cannot say right now. BUT good question James.

Me 410 experten

Hi guys

Oberfeldwebel Wilhelm Frös (5 victories, wounded in action 21 June 1944) and Leutnant Rudolf Dassow (22 victories, RK, killed in action 25 August 1944) both of II./ZG 26 made ace flying the Me 410. Can anyone else think of some other fellows?

Horrido!

Leo

How about the intruders of II./KG 51?

Dietrich Puttfarken scored 5 kills...

Re: Me 410 experten

Leo,

You are right Ofw. Willi Frös and Lt. Rudi Dassow were ace on the Me 410. You can also include Lt. Wilhelm Büschen and Oblt. Fritz Stehle. All four of them would end up in JG 6.

John
